Retro-Watch Reccommentation: WINDARIA (anime)!

I'm going to make new topics: Retro-watch/Retro-Read. Recommendations and review.

Windaria, full title is Fairy Tail War Windaria (童話めいた戦史ウインダリア), is a 1986 Japanese anime movie. Easily a clear depiction of humans led by their various mental fancies, mixed with Romeo and Juliet. How things can spiral down to Hell in over an hour. Because there isn't much time, a short story should make a fixed point. Directed by Yuyama Kunihiko (GoShogun, Pokemon Series, Orange Road, Slayers movies, Galazy Express) and script/idea from Fujiwara Keisuke (tons of sci-fi and tokusatsu).

I might review it one day if I can remember the details. One of my favorite singers performing a heartrending ED theme.

Old Thoughts of Jojo Part 1

And old ramble on TVアニメ『WING ITジョジョの奇妙な冒険』back when the year started.

Old thoughts on Tokkyuger

Express Sentai TOKKYUGER (or TQGer; 烈車戦隊トッキュウジャー) ended back in Spring 2015, opening for the newest ninja sentai NinNinger

Emperor Zed was a pretty stubborn fellow I got to say. No ending spoilers, but a certain scene had me in tears. There isn't a person in the world who doesn't live the life of a child, and the center point of Tokkyuger's story was the mental strength of children. Some would probably argue that it's an asspull power, especially for the ending, but I think the whole point was nostalgia.

I think I'll give Tokkyu 3 out of 5. Maybe 3.5 because I wasn't disappointed and it was a cute show, but it looks like NinNin will make up for it. Loved Raito/Right; he was cute as a friggin' bunny (no pun intended for the President). Not really into the bad guys, especially after Kyoryuger when its villains had so much personality. Even with Aigaron, Candelera, and Luckiero, Dogoldo played the straight guy. But geez, Deboss frickin' sucked (luckily, C.V Okawa Toru is a bit more menacing in Aldnoah Zero). Zed's nobles are like "Bow to heika heika heika!" Sans a few of course, particularly Noire. Schwarz makes things interesting; Zed maintains a little mysteriousness until the end, which was a little disappointing, but his brutality makes up for it.

Loved the crows and their fancy design. They probably could fit for a sentai about criminal organizations (ie: mafia) KHR Sentai. Count Nero has a similar fancy design.

Won't forget Yamaguchi Kappei. He voices Ticket the Rainbow Line Conductor's puppet, but more importantly he voiced the Tokkyu toys and train announcer.

"Scooooope! Stay clear! Please stay clear!" The scope train wasn't used much though. How unfortunate. And there's "[Color] RESSHAAAAAAA!" (ie: Red liner!)

I like the drill train finish too. "ALRIIIIIIGHT! ALRIIIIIIGHT!" Just like what you hear in construction. It's near perfect.

Pros of Heroic Legend of Arslan (TV series; SPOILERS)

Inspired by reaction/review vids of Mastacell, he asked the question what was so good about the show?
Apparently I can't cover spoilers that well it seems, and I'll just make a list.
  • Daryun being a tough ass guardian
  • Arlan's character development. From timid to strong.
  • Savagery of Silvermask
  • Daryun's fight with Sindura
  • The battle of Athropene/Pars vs Lustania (sp).
  • Gieve flirting on Faranghis.
  • Gadevi's death
  • Sindura King's funeral. A short scene but beautiful
  • Marzban Shapir's death. Heart-wrenching.
  • First meeting with Narsus
  • Elam and Alfreed's bickering scenes
  • Silvermask vs Daryun. Both of them.
  • Zande kind of made the show fun because he was such a screw up
  • Funeral at former Pars castle (last ep). Castle Emmanuel?

Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past complete

I began playing on August 2013, and completed it the same month 2015. It was a lot of fun.

Link to the Past so far

Early 90s were fantastic for action, adventure, and shooter games.

So I've been playing 1991's Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past (or "Triforce of Gods") since August 2013. I did not own a SNES but I was always used to sidescroller, and I had a hard time with the first Legend of Zelda. Therefore, I would avoid the series until later when I picked up Twilight Princess.

So I wanted to try LttP because it is apparently one of the most popular, with Ocarina of Time (thanks to scaled up graphics, story, and difference of perspective gameplay), Zelda titles. So I wanted to know why, and perhaps when you convert from NES to SNES, it is quite a change. Well done and colorful, good music, and you can still get lost. Getting lost, which provokes your desire to explore. Still, I had to check a guide to figure out the location of special items.

And of course, there's the game's intensity. The bosses's difficulty vary; they're either very easy or very frantic. The same with the enemies - they are sometimes tenacious and evasive.

Don't expect anything colorful when itcomes to story and character, especially when you played the later games of the series such as Twilight, Windwaker and Skyward.

Frankly, I want to get a 3DS and play this game's sequel. I need to play more Zelda.

Years ago: MONSTER HUNTER Tri (3) Impressions

First impressions: MH Tri (Japanese Official site)

While everyone was playing Pokemon X/Y a couple years ago, I was playing Monster Hunter Tri for the Wii. It was my first MH game and I wanted to see why the series was so is well-received.

Even if the number of monsters available are greatly reduced compared to the other games of the series (the amount of both small and large monsters are under 20, and is usually doubled or tripled in other games), I can say that I have a lot to do. And I need a lot of time. I still don't like the Wii being sold short. MonHun Tri was a chance to break MonHun into a new home console outside of the PS series. But then, WiiU gets the good treatment.

Back to what I've experienced so far: Armors, weapons, quests, resources, and status that makes me have to check the manual and hunter notes maybe three to five times. Because it's redundant. Why do I need to know about how much decimal amount is in a gun's recoil? And there's three parts to a bowgun.

The weapon variety is pretty neat, but since I was using a Wii Remote, I needed a lot of practice, especially with the heavy weapons. It seemed easy to control and it felt exciting to miss the monsters. They're actually pesky and that actually showed me that I have work to do. Many of the herbivores are swift, so it's a bit annoying to hunt small monsters with heavy weapons such as hammers and great swords.

And hitting a monster is satisfying too. I did so many battle cries while swinging a heavy sword.

"TOH!"

"URAAAH!"

 "GET IT!"

There's this big smash you hear when you hit. When I first tried out a small bowgun, it took me time to realize that a gunner's pouch was separate from the blademaster pouch and you need to pack the former with BOTH ammo and useful items. In other words, the BM items didn't transfer to gunnar pouch.

Before deciding on getting MonHun Tri, I thought of becoming a gunner first. But the BOWGUN WAS TOO EXPENSIVE.

The lance is pretty cool.

Probably the most unnerving thing I've faced so far was the underwater system. In various games, going underwater really gives you a sense of being confined or in an unknown world. With spectacular visuals in gaming these days, that's a definite.

On the cover of the MonHun 3 box art is the water monster Lagiacrus (ラギアクルス), which you see early in the game UNFORTUNATELY. It is a demon. The darned thing actually scared me, AND I had a problem with the swimming controls. Especially if I panic. It's so bad that you have to carefully look through the unclear water WITH A DRAGON IN IT!, and make escape plans. Furthermore, while in Lagia's territory, you have to hunt another monster to get its items.

Scary, but unique feeling that I haven't felt in a long time.

First one, making no sense

This formatting style is almost identical to MS Word; I can adapt easily.

So this is my official blog, blog of Youtuber Doggieworld3 because I've been through I believe 2 accounts already (or my first youtube account had the number 2)?

And I have received one strike already.

Anyways, this blog is, to explain without any typical rambling on passion, is for fun. Also, I am desperate for money. So I figured that to earn, do something that I know. Why am I desperate? It is a personal story, but at this moment, desirable work is not at my reach, and I am babysitting. That's the basis.

But, I was also not that confident about blogging. Blogging receives views and I don't want to give off the wrong impression. Sure, I can have opinion, but I want fair, abstract opinions.

I did "blogging before in a "leadership position", believing that I had an "open mind" enough and that I had enough patience, compassion, and knowledge. I am easily misinterpreted when it comes to relaying that knowledge; my fingers fly so fast across the keyboard (and I do mean over 60 wpm) and miss the spacebar often; somehow a word goes absent from my mind and I forget to type it in; I slide through phrases while reading them and don't absorb all I read, and sometimes I make knee-jerk reactions.

So pretty much, I get insulted for a mistake or two, or for having a few holes. More then enough, then I get afraid to do arguments. Afraid because I feel like I can't properly do merits and faults of something. So to increase my lack of confidence is why life goes into a standstill.

Also, I don't have panels, workshops, or podcasts. Very ordinary. This is a very ordinary blog and channel that I have.

But I'm always told: Keep making mistakes to do better.
